One acre = 43,560 sq ft total area. Length × width in feet must multiply to that total — e.g. 208.71 ft × 208.71 ft ≈ 1 acre square; 66 ft × 660 ft is the classic survey chain rectangle. Irregular plots need a licensed survey plan; do not trust broker sketches alone.
